Two people were shot dead and several injured after an angry mob set fire to a few buildings over a parking dispute in Bihar's Patna district on Sunday. According to the media reports, the incident happened on Sunday, following a parking dispute in Jethuli village.

The chaos continued on Monday as cars parked near a gas godown were also set on fire, the godown was vandalised, and the cylinder kept in the godown was thrown into the river Ganga. Meanwhile, speaking to the media over the incident, SSP Patna said that the main accused was arrested and added the situation was under control.

As per local media reports, the dispute erupted following a parking issue and subsequently, it took a major turn after two groups clashed with ammunition. Some media reported at least 50 rounds of ammunition were fired following the deadly clash.

There is heavy police deployment in the area and the police have arrested seven people, including the village chief, in relation with the violence.

“A fight between two groups escalated into violence with firing by one group. Five people were injured. We have got information about two deaths. Seven accused, including the village chief, arrested. Police to camp in Jethuli until the situation normalises. The situation is stabilising," said Syed Imran Masood, Superintendent of Police, City.
