The Shiv Nadar School and Father Agnel School in Noida and several other private schools in Ahmedabad, received bomb threat e-mails on Friday, prompting authorities to take swift action and dismiss students early as a precaution.

The threat came just three days before Republic Day.

In Noida, a team of security personnel was dispatched to the two schools in response to the threat e-mail, and the bomb squad along with a dog squad were also deployed to the premises to investigate.

The Shiv Nadar school arranged for buses to return students to designated drop-off points, and urged parents to stay in touch with bus staff while picking up their children.

Shiv Nadar School Principal Anju Soni appealed for cooperation and understanding from parents.

Responding to the development, the Noida Police said that besides on-site inspection, a cyber team is also carrying out a technical investigation of the emails.

Authorities confirmed that the situation is under control, with peace and order maintained at the schools, and urged the public to ignore any rumours.

In Ahmedabad, several private schools received the threat, leading administrations to inform the police. Police, bomb squad, and fire brigade teams arrived at the premises to carry out investigations.
