Hours after a ceasefire deal was reached between India and Pakistan, MEA sources said that there is no pre or post-condition of the ceasefire, adding that the call was initiated from Pakistan’s side and the Indus Water Treaty will remain in abeyance.
UN chief Antonio Guterres welcomed ‘all efforts to de-escalate the conflict’, as India and Pakistan agreed to immediate ceasefire on Saturday.
"Pakistan claimed that it damaged our S400 and Brahmos missile base with its JF 17, which is completely wrong," Colonel Sofiya Qureshi said during a Defence Ministry press briefing following India's announcement of a ceasefire with Pakistan.
Colonel Sofiya Qureshi debunked Pakistan’s misinformation campaign. She stated:
1. “First, Pakistan falsely claimed that it had damaged India’s S-400 system and BrahMos missile base using its JF-17 aircraft; this is completely untrue.”
2. “Second, the claim that our airfields in Sirsa, Jammu, Pathankot, Bathinda, Naliya, and Bhuj were hit is also false.”
3. “Third, Pakistan’s assertion that our ammunition dumps in Chandigarh and Beas were damaged is yet another baseless claim.”

The Indian Army has issued a stern warning following the ceasefire violation by Pakistan. Army confirmed that a violation began around 7 PM, and they are closely monitoring the situation. The Army has conveyed that while they are awaiting developments through the night, any further violations will be met with a strong response.
Indian armed forces confirmed that several Indian airfields came under repeated drone and missile attacks from Pakistan. In retaliatory strikes, artillery fire from Indian forces reportedly killed 40 personnel of the Pakistan Army.
The Indian Army revealed that multiple Pakistani aircraft were intercepted and prevented from breaching Indian airspace. While a few enemy planes were confirmed shot down, the army did not disclose the exact numbers.
Air Marshal AK Bharti clarified that India’s military actions in the conflict were solely directed at terrorist groups, not the Pakistani military or any other personnel across the border.
“Our fight was neither with the Pakistani military nor with anybody else who is there on the other side. Our fight was with the terrorists. We neutralised the terrorists that we selected to be neutralised and thereafter, we only maintained the air defence posture,” Bharti said.
