A couple from Hyderabad has been reported missing after losing contact with their family during a holiday in Switzerland, prompting the police to launch an investigation into their whereabouts.
The missing couple has been identified as Pabba Chandrasekhar and his wife, Pabba Swapna, residents of Cherlapally in Hyderabad. According to police, the couple had travelled to Switzerland for a holiday and remained in regular contact with their family during the initial days of their trip.
However, all communication reportedly stopped abruptly thereafter. Family members said the couple's mobile phones have remained switched off for more than 20 days, raising concerns over their safety.
The matter came to light after the couple's daughter, Pabba Shreya, approached the Charlapalli Police Station and lodged a missing persons complaint on July 9. In her complaint, she stated that she had been unable to contact her parents for over three weeks despite repeated attempts.
Based on the complaint, police registered a missing case and initiated an investigation. Officials said efforts are underway to establish the couple's whereabouts and determine whether they are still in Switzerland.
As part of the investigation, police are verifying the couple's travel details, including their itinerary and immigration records. They are also coordinating with the relevant authorities and agencies to gather information that could help trace the missing couple.
Officials said they are exploring all possible leads and have begun the process of reaching out to the appropriate authorities to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the loss of contact.
The family has appealed for information that could help locate Chandrasekhar and Swapna, expressing concern over the prolonged period without any communication.
Police said further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation and any information received from the authorities involved in tracing the couple. The investigation is ongoing.
