A 23-year-old woman died of heavy blood loss while having sex with her boyfriend in a hotel in Gujarat's Navsari, the police said on Tuesday.
According to the police, the woman, who was a nursing graduate, went to the hotel with her boyfriend. While the couple were having sex, the woman started bleeding profusely from her private part and became unconscious.
Despite her condition, the man failed to seek immediate medical assistance, the police said. By the time she was taken to the hospital, she had succumbed to her injuries.
Her postmortem revealed that the bleeding resulted from a serious injury to her genital area during sex, which led to her death.
The police have arrested her boyfriend, holding him responsible for negligence.
District Superintendent of Police Sushil Agarwal confirmed that the man has been charged under Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 238 (causing evidence to disappear) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Further investigation is underway.
