Amid growing speculation on social media that detained YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra was married to Danish, an official from the Pakistan High Commission, new revelations from her WhatsApp conversations have reportedly indicated that she wished to marry in Pakistan.
Several reports claim that WhatsApp exchanges between Jyoti Malhotra and Ali Hasan, an operative linked to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), have emerged. In these chats, the accused YouTuber appeared to praise Pakistan and expressed a desire to marry there.
In one of the alleged messages to Hasan, Jyoti wrote, "Get me married in Pakistan" in response to his kind wishes.
Hasan, reportedly replying in Hindi, said, "Jo (Jyoti), I pray you stay happy always, may you keep smiling and never face disappointments in life."
These disclosures follow shortly after reports surfaced that Jyoti Malhotra had passed on information to Pakistan regarding a blackout being enforced in India during 'Operation Sindoor.'
She also reportedly maintained communication with Danish while the operation was in progress. However, investigators have found that Jyoti allegedly deleted her messages with Danish in March this year.
Her mobile devices and laptops have since been confiscated for a more thorough probe.
Jyoti Malhotra was arrested on May 17 over accusations of espionage on behalf of Pakistan.
