A massive fire broke out in the Aslantis building on the 150 Feet Ring Road, causing chaos and panic as flames engulfed the structure. The fire started on the sixth floor, trapping more than 30 people inside. At least three people died in the fire that is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit in a flat where furniture work was ongoing.

As thick plumes of smoke billowed from the building, emergency services rushed to the scene, following which around 50 people were rescued. Fire brigade personnel arrived swiftly and began efforts to control the blaze. A video of the incident showed ambulances and fire trucks stationed at the site while a crowd gathered near the complex, anxiously watching as rescue operations unfolded.

Two firefighters sustained serious injuries during the operation.
