Entry of heavy vehicles banned from 7 am to 10 pm on Noida Expressway

Heavy vehicles will be stopped from entering the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway as a trial from 7 am to 10 pm. Vehicles related to essential services like fruits, vegetables, milk, medicines, and fuel will be allowed.

Due to increasing traffic pressure, heavy vehicles are going to be stopped as a trial entry on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. 

In this regard, the traffic DCP has issued an advisory. According to the advisory, from today heavy vehicles will be stopped from entering the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway as a trial from 7 am to 10 pm. Vehicles related to essential services like fruits, vegetables, milk, medicines, and fuel will be allowed. Traffic police personnel will be deployed on the route. Action will be taken against vehicles that violate the rules.

DCP Traffic Anil Kumar Yadav said while issuing the advisory that there has been an increase in traffic pressure on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The work of underpasses and road resurfacing is going on at three places on the route. Therefore, this arrangement will be implemented on the roads of the expressway on the lines of Delhi. Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to run on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway from 7 am to 10 pm. They are currently allowed from 11 am to 5 pm. There will be a ban on heavy vehicles at Alpha 1, Karma Shal, and Pari Chowk routes.

Drivers going from Kalindi Kunj, Chilla Border, and DND Border to Delhi will have to take the Eastern Peripheral Expressway towards their destination via Greater Noida. Heavy vehicles will be stopped from entering the Greater Noida Expressway.

Due to no entry, goods carrier drivers going from Kasna to Surajpur will have to go towards their destination via LG Chowk from Honda Chowk. This will reduce traffic congestion at Parichowk, P-3 Chowk, and Alpha Commercial.

The route from Sirsa to Makouda and Tilpata will remain open. Relevant authorities will be consulted for this.

Essential services related to fruits, vegetables, milk, medicine, and fuel will continue to be permitted. Related individuals will be given 15 days to arrange for the implementation of the plan before it is fully enforced.
