The investigation into the alleged attack on popular educator Khan Sir’s coaching centre in Patna has taken a fresh turn after a video purportedly showing gunfire during the incident began circulating widely on social media.
The incident took place on the night of June 2 and has remained under scrutiny following allegations of violence at the coaching institute. The newly surfaced video has added another layer to the controversy, with claims emerging about who fired the shots and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The viral footage reportedly shows two individuals handling a firearm, loading it and firing shots into the air. Social media users have claimed that the men seen in the video were associated with Khan Sir’s security team, although authorities have not yet officially verified the authenticity of the footage or the identities of those involved.
The video appears to show firing taking place outside the coaching centre, reigniting debate over what transpired during the incident. The emergence of the footage has prompted calls for authorities to examine the video and establish the facts surrounding the alleged gunfire.
Earlier, Khan Sir had spoken publicly about the firing incident. The circulation of the video has now intensified public attention on the case.
Meanwhile, police have arrested three individuals in connection with the attack on the coaching centre. Those taken into custody include Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu Coaching, along with his associates Abhishek and Gaurav. The trio was produced before a court in Patna on Wednesday evening.
Following the hearing, the court remanded all three to judicial custody and they were subsequently sent to Beur Jail. Prior to being presented in court, the accused underwent medical examinations at LNJP Hospital.
Speaking after his arrest, Roshan Anand denied any role in the incident and alleged that he was being targeted as part of a conspiracy. He claimed that police had already clarified that no firing had taken place at the scene and alleged that the case was being used to tarnish the reputation of both him and his coaching institute. Anand further stated that he had no prior knowledge of the incident. He also highlighted his health condition, saying he was a kidney patient and had undergone surgery last year.
According to reports, the controversy began after an altercation involving a security guard employed at Khan Sir’s coaching centre.
It has been alleged that a group of individuals entered the premises and assaulted the guard, leading to heightened tensions at the location. The situation gained wider attention after videos purportedly showing the attack and assault began circulating on social media platforms. The footage prompted swift police action, leading to the arrests made in the case.
Investigators are currently examining all aspects of the incident, including the alleged assault, the claims surrounding the firing, and the circumstances in which the viral videos were recorded and shared.
With the emergence of the latest footage, authorities are expected to scrutinise the evidence further as they attempt to establish a clear sequence of events and determine whether a larger conspiracy or coordinated action was involved.
