A disturbing murder case has come to light from Andhra Pradesh, where police have arrested a woman for allegedly killing her husband with the help of her lover in Chiluvuru village of Guntur district.
She later watched pornographic videos while the body of her husband lay beside her.
According to police, the accused, Lakshmi Madhuri, planned and executed the murder of her husband, Lokam Shiva Nagaraju, an onion trader by profession.
Investigators revealed that on the night of the incident, Madhuri prepared biryani for Nagaraju, allegedly mixing it with a substance that caused him to fall into a deep sleep.
Once he was incapacitated, the next phase of the plan was set in motion.
At around 11.30 pm, Madhuri’s alleged lover, identified as Gopi, arrived at the couple’s residence.
Police stated that Gopi restrained Nagaraju by sitting on his chest, while Madhuri suffocated her husband using a pillow.
The act reportedly led to Nagaraju’s death on the spot.
After ensuring that he was no longer alive, Gopi left the house, leaving Madhuri alone with the body.
What followed further alarmed investigators. Instead of seeking help or informing neighbours, Madhuri allegedly remained in the house throughout the night.
Police claim that during this time, she watched pornographic videos while sitting near her husband’s body.
In the early hours of the morning, around 4 am, she approached neighbours and claimed that Nagaraju had died of a heart attack.
However, the explanation failed to convince those around her. Neighbours and acquaintances, who were aware of frequent quarrels between the couple and Madhuri’s alleged extramarital relationship, became suspicious.
Friends of the deceased noticed bloodstains near Nagaraju’s ear and visible injuries on his body.
They immediately informed his family members and alerted the police.
A postmortem examination later confirmed that Nagaraju died due to suffocation and noted fractures to his chest bones, corroborating suspicions of physical assault.
During interrogation, police said Madhuri confessed to the crime and admitted to spending the night watching pornographic videos after killing her husband.
A case was registered, and further investigation is currently underway to establish all the circumstances surrounding the murder.
