Indian commercial carrier Air India on Friday announced that it was further extending suspension of fights to Tel Aviv, Israel, until further notice in the wake of the prevailing Middle-East situation.
"In view of the current situation in parts of the Middle East, scheduled operation of our flights to and from Tel Aviv are suspended with immediate effect until further notice", Air India posted on X (formerly Twitter).
It further said that Air India was continuously monitoring the situation and was offering a full refund to the passengers with confirmed bookings for travel to and from Tel Aviv, saying "Safety of our guests and crew remains our topmost priority".
Air India also said that for more information about flight cancellations and refund related queries, the flyers could dial 24x7 Contact Centre at 011-69329333/011-69329999.
Earlier, on August 2, Air India cancelled all its flights to and from Israel amid rising tension in the Middle-East.
Air India had then stated that it was cancelling flights till August 8 and the deadline was just extended on Friday until further notice.
Tensions between Israel and Iran have been rising with each passing day, ever since top Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and his bodyguard were killed in an attack in Tehran on July 31. The Palestinian group blamed the attack on Israel.
