A five-year-old girl named Ayat lost her life in a tragic road accident on Saturday night in Noida’s Sector 30. Her father and uncle were critically injured after a speeding BMW, coming from the wrong side, crashed into their scooter near Gate 3 of the Post Graduate Institute of Child Health.

The family was returning home to Sadarpur Khajoor Colony after taking Ayat to the hospital. The impact threw all three off the scooter. While Ayat died from her injuries, her father Gul Mohammad and his brother-in-law Raja were rushed to different hospitals and are in serious condition.

The BMW was reportedly being driven by Yash Sharma (22), a resident of Sector 37. He was accompanied by Abhishek Rawat (22), who lives in Sector 70. Both men are students and were arrested shortly after the crash, thanks to bystanders who alerted the police when they tried to flee.

Assistant Police Commissioner Praveen Kumar Singh said initial investigations show the two had attended a birthday party earlier in the evening. Police are also checking whether they were drunk at the time. Medical tests are underway.

The car, registered in Haryana, is owned by a man named Gagan. Yash Sharma, who works in the used car business, had borrowed the BMW from him a week ago, police said. The vehicle has now been seized.

A case has been filed at Sector 20 police station under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for causing death by negligence and rash driving.

What should have been a routine ride home turned into a nightmare for this family. A young life was lost due to reckless driving, and two men now fight for survival in hospitals. As the police investigate further, the focus remains on ensuring justice for Ayat and accountability for the tragedy.
