Three labourers from Uttar Pradesh were arrested after they attempted to enter the high-security Parliament complex by using forged Aadhaar cards.

The Delhi Police arrested the three accused, Kasim, Monis and Soyeb, on charges of forgery and cheating. The trio were intercepted and detained by CISF personnel at the flap gate entry of Parliament House on Tuesday while standing in a queue for security check.

When the accused presented their Aadhaar cards to the CISF personnel, they found the documents doubtful. When the cards were sent for further scrutiny, they were found to be forged.

Investigation revealed that they were hired by Dee Vee Projects Limited and engaged in the construction of the MP's lounge inside the Parliament complex.

The three accused were handed over to the Delhi Police by the CISF personnel and an FIR was registered against them under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Section 465 (forgery), Section 419 (cheating by personation), Section 120B (criminal conspiracy), Section 471 (using as genuine a forged document) and Section 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating).
