Patna, September 24, 2025: The much-awaited Rangrekha 2.0 exhibition by city-based NGO Alphabets opened in Patna today, bringing a festive display of hand-made Madhubani art products crafted by underprivileged children supported by the organisation.
On display are beautifully painted diyas, rangolis, diya stands and other festive items, all prepared with months of training and dedication by students such as Neha, Anjali, Sanju, Anu, Komal, and Khushi. These children have been receiving professional training in Madhubani painting for 5–10 years under Alphabets’ initiative to combine education with creative empowerment.
“Rangrekha is not just about art; it’s about giving our children a platform to express themselves, build confidence, and secure a brighter future,” said Ekta Nopani Choudhary, founding member and secretary of Alphabets.
Each product reflects the students’ love and dedication, proving how art can transform lives and empower communities. Importantly, the entire proceeds from Rangrekha will be reinvested into Alphabets to directly fund the education and overall development of the children it supports.
Founded in 2009, Alphabets works for the holistic development of children from disadvantaged backgrounds by sponsoring their education, providing tutoring, career counselling, and personality development. Over the years, the NGO has extended its support to higher education as well — with two of its first students now engineering graduates and others pursuing courses at reputed institutions.
Built on three core pillars, the organisation has grown into a strong support system for students throughout their educational journey and beyond.
The three guiding initiatives of Alphabets are:
1. Project Pathshala – Enabling children to secure admission in reputed private schools and sponsoring not just their school fees, but also books, notebooks, stationery, uniforms, and every other educational requirement.
2. Project Sahayog – Providing continuous support through tutoring, career counselling, and personality development. Under this project, the organisation has set up its office-cum-tuition centre at Ashiana Towers, Exhibition Road, Patna.
3. Project Utthan – Offering exposure beyond textbooks through educational and recreational excursions. In recent years, children have visited Bisk Farm factory, Bihar Museum, Patna Planetarium, and Patna Zoo.
Currently, Alphabets is actively managed by its dedicated members – Ekta Nopani Choudhary, Ankit Choudhary, Aditi Poddar, Ayush Poddar, Aman Pachisia, Shivika Pachisia, Ayush Maskara, Palak Maskara, Harsh Makharia, Isha Makharia, Piyush Choudhary, and Ruchi Choudhary – who oversee daily operations as well as fundraising efforts for the organisation.
