US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said Tehran would not be allowed to enrich uranium and that Washington would work “with Iran" to remove buried nuclear “dust." He also threatened 50% tariffs on countries supplying weapons to Iran.
In his latest post on Truth Social, Trump said the Washington would work with Tehran following what he called as a “productive regime change" in Iran, adding that tariff and sanctions relief could be part of the discussions.
“There will be no enrichment of Uranium, and the United States will, working with Iran, dig up and remove all of the deeply buried (B-2 Bombers) Nuclear ‘Dust’," the US president wrote.
The American leader added that the US is closely monitoring the sites through satellite surveillance and claimed that no material “has been touched from the date of attack".
Trump also indicated that economic incentives could form part of the negotiations. “We are, and will be, talking Tariff and Sanctions relief with Iran. Many of the 15 points have already been been agreed to," he said.
In a follow-up post, the US President also warned countries supplying military weapons to Iran, saying they would face an immediate 50% tariff on all goods exported to the United States.
“A Country supplying Military Weapons to Iran will be immediately tariffed, on any and all goods sold to the United States of America, 50%, effective immediately. There will be no exclusions or exemptions!," he wrote.
Iran has not yet to respond to Trump’s latest remarks.
