Melania Trump on Thursday forcefully denied any connection to Jeffrey Epstein, saying she was “never friends” with him and dismissing claims circulating online as “lies” that must stop. Speaking from the White House, she pushed back against what she described as a wave of misinformation, including “fake images and statements” that have resurfaced on social media in recent years.

“I am not Epstein’s victim. Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump,” she said, reiterating that she met Donald Trump in 1998 at a New York party. She also said she had no association with Epstein’s longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell and was unaware of any wrongdoing at the time she briefly encountered Epstein in social settings.

Melania Trump framed her remarks as an effort to counter renewed speculation circulating online, urging the public to be cautious about unverified claims. She stressed that she has never been a witness or unnamed individual in any investigation related to Epstein.

But the internet never forgets. Within hours of her statement, users on X began resurfacing old photographs, archived media reports and previously released court documents linked to Epstein’s elite social circle, fuelling fresh debate.

Among the material widely shared are early-2000s event photographs, including images from Mar-a-Lago and New York gatherings where Epstein and Donald Trump were seen together. While Melania was part of Trump’s social orbit at the time, there are no widely verified images showing her directly interacting with Epstein, a distinction highlighted in several fact-check reports.

Another document drawing attention is a 2002 email published in Epstein-related disclosures, signed “Love, Melania” and addressed to Ghislaine Maxwell. The email appears polite and social in tone, referencing a magazine article about Epstein. However, key identifying details remain redacted, and the document does not independently establish the nature or extent of any relationship.
