A vehicle ploughed into a crowd waiting outside a nightclub on Santa Monica Boulevard in East Hollywood early Saturday, injuring over 30 people, according to officials.

Captain Adam Van Gerpen, public information officer for the Los Angeles City Fire Department, confirmed that the victims were rushed to local hospitals and trauma centres. At least three people are in critical condition following the incident.

“A line of people — the majority female — were waiting to enter a nightclub when they were struck by a vehicle that also hit a taco truck and valet stand,” Van Gerpen told ABC News.
