Ramayana Part 1, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, has been released. While many have watched the film during paid previews, audiences are enjoying it in theatres right now as it has been released today, November 5. The visuals from the film have started taking over the internet, and a post-credit scene featuring Lord Hanuman has now surfaced.
In the clip, while Lord Hanuman’s face has not been revealed, he is seen entering the frame with strong BGM playing. The clip ends with a wider shot of Hanuman in the air as he hails Shri Ram. Watch the post-credit scene below:
Who Is Playing Hanuman?
Sunny Deol portrays Lord Hanuman, the devoted follower of Lord Ram and one of the most powerful figures in the epic. Known for his extraordinary strength, courage and unwavering devotion, Hanuman becomes instrumental in Ram’s search for Sita. His journey to Lanka and his efforts to help Ram prepare for the battle against Ravana make him an indispensable part of the story. Sunny’s casting has generated considerable excitement among audiences.
When Did Hanuman Enter Ramayana?
As per the mythological epic, Lord Hanuman enters the story only after Lord Ram’s exile and Sita’s abduction, and the trailer of the film hints that the movie will focus on the story before Hanuman’s entry. While Lord Hanuman becomes one of the most crucial parts of Lord Ram’s battle against Ravana, he enters the epic in the latter half. So, it is quite possible that the makers of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer are saving him for the second part, or they might tease his entry at the end of the first part.
Lord Hanuman occupies a unique place in the Ramayana, extending far beyond that of a supporting character. Revered by millions of devotees, his on-screen introduction carries immense emotional and spiritual significance. The makers may have chosen to hold back Sunny Deol’s first look to give the reveal a dedicated spotlight rather than unveiling it alongside Lord Ram, Ravana and the film’s other key characters in the trailer.
