German hard rock band Scorpions has cancelled its much-anticipated Coming Home India tour due to unforeseen medical circumstances affecting its members. They expressed regret over the cancellation and promised ticket refunds.

The tour, which was set to begin on April 21 in Shillong, was scheduled to travel across four cities – Delhi-NCR (April 24), Bengaluru (April 26) and Mumbai (April 30). It was being produced and promoted by BookMyShow.

In a statement shared on Instagram, the organisers confirmed the cancellation, saying the decision was taken due to health-related issues within the band. Refunds for ticket holders will be processed automatically within 7–10 working days.

The band, known for global hits like Wind of Change and Blackout, includes Rudolf Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Klaus Meine, Pawe Mciwoda and Mikkey Dee. They have expressed their intent to return to India once schedules and health conditions permit.

Scorpions last performed in India in the 2000s, including shows during their Acoustica Live Tour in 2001 and Humanity World Tour in 2007, with concerts in cities such as Shillong, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Ahead of the planned tour, guitarist Matthias Jabs had earlier recalled the band’s fond memories of performing in India, noting the strong rock fanbase and warm reception during their previous visits.
