'Pirates of the Caribbean' star, lifeguard, and surfing instructor Tamayo Perry died in Hawaii. The 49-year-old actor, known for his roles in ‘Blue Crush’ and ‘Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle’, suffered a fatal shark attack near Goat Island on Sunday, June 23 afternoon, according to Honolulu Emergency Medical Service.
According to Sky News, Tamayo Perry, an Ocean Safety lifeguard and surfing instructor, was attacked by a shark off Oahu in Hawaii near Goat Island. A witness saw Perry and alerted emergency services. Officials arrived at the scene and brought him to shore on their jet ski, but he was pronounced dead on the beach.
Reportedly, the actor’s body appeared to have suffered multiple shark bites. Following the actor’s death, Ocean Safety officials posted shark warnings in the area.
Meanwhile, according to the Sky News report, Perry, who worked as a lifeguard on the North Shore, started his career with the Ocean Safety Department in July 2016.
