Gryffindor Gets Its Roar Back

Gryffindor's new crest continues to feature its iconic lion against the house's signature red-and-gold colours, representing courage, bravery and the willingness to stand up for what is right.

The house was founded by Godric Gryffindor and later became home to some of Hogwarts' most famous students—including Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.

But the redesign isn't merely cosmetic. One of the four updated crests reportedly corrects a long-standing detail that was inaccurate in the original eight Harry Potter films.

And that has fans looking very closely at every pixel.
