ED summons actor Urvashi Rautela, ex-MP Mimi Chakraborty in betting app case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela in connection with the ongoing 1xBet betting case. She is scheduled to appear at the ED headquarters in Delhi on September 16.

Earlier, former Trinamool Congress MP Mimi Chakraborty was also summoned by the ED for 15 September in the same case.

ED sources confirmed that “Both have been asked to appear at the ED office in the 1xBet app case.” The investigation has already seen questioning of several high-profile individuals, including former cricketers Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan for eight hours in connection with an online betting app case. The 39-year-old former cricketer is understood to have been linked to the app through certain endorsements.

This marks the latest development in the 1xBet case, where the ED has been actively questioning celebrities and sportspersons linked to the betting platform.

The cental government has banned real-money online gaming by bringing a legislation recently.
