Trump at Met Gala 2025: The first Monday of May is here and so is the Met Gala 2025. With being just hours away, former regular Donald Trump and daughter, Ivanka Trump are reportedly “banned” from the Met Gala. Marking the opening of the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum, it is one the world’s most exclusive events of the year.
The star-studded guest list of the Met Gala 2025 does not include the US President and his family this year. Curated by Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour personally, she had “banned” Trump herself. It goes back to 2017 of Wintour’s appearance at a talk-show stirred a debate online when host, James Corden asked, “Who would you never invite back to the Met Gala?” After taking the name of Trump, the answer was received with cheers.
It is not that Donald Trump and wife, Melania never attended the Met. They were a part of the event in 2004 and 2012. However, they are the first public “outlaws” at the event. The rumours are strengthened considering Trump’s daughter Ivanka has not made a Met Gala appearance since 2017.

Celebrities like Tim Gunn, Rebecca Minkoff, Rachel Zoe and Eugenio Casnighi among others have been “allegedly banned” from the Met Gala as per Buzz Feed.
This year, the Met Gala 2025 will be be co-chaired by Anna Wintour, Colman Domingo, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky, Lewis Hamilton and for the first time, LeBron James. Representing India are stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Diljit Dosanjh making their debut this year. Mum-to-be Kiara Advani will also be one of India’s leading lady at the Met Gala 2025 red carpet.
