Indian designer Rahul Mishra brought Indian craftsmanship to one of fashion's biggest stages with his latest couture collection, 'Devi', at Paris Haute Couture Week 2026. While the collection itself drew applause, it was the front row that grabbed equal attention, with Cardi B and Isha Ambani making a striking appearance in custom Rahul Mishra creations.

The two were seated together during the show and were later seen posing for photographers, quickly becoming one of the most talked-about moments from the event.

A Collection Inspired by India's Temple Art

Rahul Mishra's 'Devi' collection drew inspiration from the intricate carvings found in Indian temples, transforming stone-like textures into wearable couture.

The runway featured sculptural silhouettes in shades of grey, black, gold and beige, brought to life through dense embroidery, appliqué work and jewellery that blended seamlessly into the garments, creating the illusion of carved sculptures instead of fabric.

Cardi B's Temple-Inspired Look

Cardi B wore a dramatic white couture ensemble featuring a structured corset, sculpted shoulders and elaborate jewellery.

The look was completed with a maang tikka, statement shoulder ornaments and waist detailing inspired by traditional Indian temple sculptures, echoing the central theme of Mishra's collection.

Isha Ambani Brings Indian Elegance to Paris

Isha Ambani chose a grey embroidered corset paired with a matching skirt, both richly embellished with intricate beadwork.

She added a flowing dupatta to the look, accessorising it with diamond jewellery and a solitaire necklace that complemented the understated elegance of the outfit.

A Celebration of Indian Craftsmanship

Hours before the show, Rahul Mishra shared glimpses of his artisans—his karigars—putting the finishing touches on the couture pieces, highlighting the craftsmanship behind the collection.

At the end of the presentation, the designer walked onto the runway with folded hands to acknowledge the audience, standing between two of the show's most elaborate creations in a moment that received warm applause.

The showcase marked another significant milestone for Rahul Mishra, who continues to represent Indian couture on the global stage at Paris Haute Couture Week, where leading luxury fashion houses unveil their latest collections.
