

Bollywood actor Shreyas and Alok Nath have been reportedly named in an investment fraud complaint in UP's Bhagpat. According to the reports, a fraud case has been registered against 22 individuals, including two actors.
Shreyas and Alok are renowned actors in the Hindi film industry and have been actively working in it.
The fraud news, involving the names of the two actors, came to light on Friday (Oct 24).
According to reports, over 500 people in Baghpat, UP, have been scammed out of Rs 5 crore in an investment scheme that promised to double their money in five years. The complain was registered at Murthal police station in Sonipat district, Haryana.
The fraud has been allegedly done by Loni Urban Multi-State Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society, the two companies, which have been accused eliciting people to do investment.
Sharing details about the complaint, ANI post reads, "Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh | A case has been filed against Bollywood actors Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath, along with 22 others. The complainant alleges fraud in the name of investment in the Loni Urban Multi-State Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society. Bollywood actors Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath were brand ambassadors of this society. The case was filed at the city police station based on a complaint from Babli, a resident of Baghpat."
According to ANI, a case of fraud was filed on January 22, alleging that over 500 people were deceived in a scheme promising to double their investment . However, for the past year, these individuals have received no payments or returns, which prompted them to file a complaint.
Both actors have served as brand ambassadors and promoted various events, and this is reason why they have been named in the complaint.
The case was filed by Babli, one of the victims of the fraud, a resident of Meetli village, which is located in Baghpat district in Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, Babli invested over a lakh of her savings after believing the words of a young man from Bijrol village, who frequently visited the area and was associated with the company.
