The SSC Selection Post Phase 13 exam has turned into a full-blown crisis. What began as a few scattered complaints has now grown into a nationwide protest movement. Students across the country are angry and for good reason.

Between July 24 and August 1, 2025, thousands of candidates faced massive problems during the SSC Phase 13 exams. Some traveled hundreds of kilometers to reach their exam centers, only to find out their exams had been canceled without any prior notice. Others reached centers that were wrongly allotted to them. Many faced technical issues like computer crashes, biometric failures, and system errors that made it impossible for them to take the exam.

Why students and teachers are protesting

The main reason for the protests is that exams were canceled at the last minute without informing students in advance. Many aspirants had spent their own money on travel, lodging, and food. Some even borrowed money from their families, only to return home without even taking the exam.

Here’s what went wrong during the SSC Phase 13 exams:

  • Sudden cancellations at exam centers

  • Software and computer crashes

  • Biometric failures

  • Wrong exam centers assigned

Many believe these issues started after SSC recently changed its exam conducting vendor. Aspirants say the new vendor has a bad track record and clearly wasn’t prepared to handle such a large-scale exam. Now, there are growing concerns about future exams like SSC CGL 2025, which will involve over 30 lakh candidates.

Viral videos show mistreatment, spark more anger

Things got worse when videos began surfacing on social media showing students being pushed around or silenced at exam centers. Some claim they were manhandled by security guards for simply asking why their exam was canceled or raising concerns about system failures.

These clips spread like wildfire online and led to massive protests in Delhi. Under the banner of “Delhi Chalo,” students and educators gathered at places like Jantar Mantar and CGO Complex, demanding answers. Reports say police tried to disperse the crowds using lathi charges, which only added fuel to the fire.

Popular teachers, including Neetu Singh, joined the protests and gave strong public support to the students, saying what’s happening is deeply unfair.

Social media becomes the voice of protest

Platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube have become the main tools for students to share their experiences. Hashtags like #SSCMisManagement, #SSCSystemSudharo, and #JusticeForAspirants are trending nationwide.

Students are using these platforms to:

  • Share protest videos and photos

  • Talk about what they went through

  • Ask for help and support

  • Demand big changes in how SSC handles exams

What students want

Right now, students are demanding:

  • A fair investigation into how SSC handled Phase 13

  • Action against the current exam vendor

  • Better systems for future exams

  • Official accountability from SSC for all these failures

Students say that unless these demands are taken seriously, upcoming exams especially for Income Tax posts and CGL Tier 1 could face the same problems.

A broken system, a hopeful movement

This isn’t just about one exam anymore. It’s about trust. It’s about respect for student effort. And it’s about the basic right to a fair chance.

Many aspirants have spent years preparing, sacrificing family time, jobs, and social life—all for an exam that got canceled without explanation. Parents are heartbroken. Teachers are frustrated. And students feel like their future is being played with.

What started as a few complaints has now become a loud, determined movement. Students are not asking for favors—they are asking for fairness. And unless the SSC takes strong, visible action soon, the protests may only grow bigger.

Right now, the message from thousands of aspirants is loud and clear:
“We are not going to stay silent anymore.”
