Karnataka achieved a “historic” pass percentage of 94.1% in the SSLC exam-1 results for 2026, which was announced by School Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa in Bengaluru on April 23, 2026.
The results have shown a marked improvement, with a 14.06 percentage point increase compared to the 80.04% recorded last year, the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board said in a statement. Following the Karnataka High Court order, the State government has assigned marks for third language, instead of grades. However, this year, grades have been given along with marks in all subjects.
Among the 7,70,209 students who appeared for the exam this year, a total of 7,24,794 have managed to pass. This year, seven students from different districts, including Bangalore north education district, have managed to score 625 out of 625.
In a first, digital marks cards have been made available through DigiLocker from 12 p.m., allowing students to download their official marksheets online. The result lists will also be shared with respective schools.
Students can access their results on the official website, karresults.nic.in, as well as through the KarnatakaOne mobile app. The board will also send results directly to students via SMS and WhatsApp on their registered mobile numbers.
