Patna, December 12, 2025: The Patna Book Fair 2025 witnessed a dynamic celebration of young musical talent as Jaano Junction hosted its much-awaited EPIC Festival of Bands on December 12 at the Vyasa Stage, Gandhi Maidan. The event became a major attraction at the fair as students from leading schools delivered electrifying performances that drew loud cheers and appreciation from music enthusiasts.
This year, the competition saw over 25 band entries, from which only the top three school bands were shortlisted through rigorous scrutiny and pre-judging. These finalists—Grayscale (Litera Valley School), Happy Harmonix (St. Michael’s High School), and Evening Primrose (DPS Patna East)—took the stage to compete for the coveted title.
The jury panel featured two prominent figures from the music industry—
Mr. Jimmy Gupta, veteran music producer
Mr. Apoorw Pandey, singer–songwriter
They evaluated each band on technical skill, stage presence, originality, cohesiveness, and overall impact. The judges also offered constructive feedback, encouraging students to refine their craft and pursue music with discipline and passion.
After a high-energy musical showdown, “Grayscale” from Litera Valley School was declared the winner.
The band comprises: Harsh Raj, Atulya Raj, Mudit Vihangam, Tanisha Tanmya, and Siddhi Vinayak.
Their performance stood out for its musical precision, contemporary sound, and powerful stage energy—earning them praise from both the jury and the audience.
The other two finalists, Happy Harmonix (St. Michael's High School) and Evening Primrose (Delhi Public School Patna East), also impressed with diverse musical styles ranging from rock and fusion to acoustic and pop. Their creativity and talent received enthusiastic applause, showcasing the rich pool of budding musicians emerging from Patna’s schools; making the grand-finale truly worth the battle.
