Delhi finance minister Kailash Gahlot on Wednesday, hailed the AAP government's ‘mohalla clinic project’ and said it serves as the backbone of Delhi's primary health care system.
Delhi FM Kailash Gahlot, while tabling budget on Wednesday, said in last four months, 42,000 women visited mohalla clinics meant exclusively for women. He also said keeping its success in view, the AAP government has decided to build another 100 similar facilities, as part of Delhi budget 2023.
With an increase of about over ₹200 crorecompared to last year, AAP government has allocated about ₹16,500 crore for education sector in 2023 budget.
350 Delhi govt schools to get 20 computers each, tablets for faculty
As part of budget 2023, 350 Delhi government schools will get 20 computers each, while all teachers, principals, vice- principals will get tablets, announced finance minister Kailash Gahlot.
“Delhi will treat 890 million gallons of sewage a day by March 2024, a massive increase over 373 MGD in 2015,” said finance minister Kailash Gahlot.

Delhi’s Budget for 2023-24 financial year will be presented today in the assembly following the green signal it received from the Union Ministry for Home Affairs on Tuesday. The approval only came after an intense political tussle between the Centre and the Delhi government over budgetary allocation for advertisements and the infrastructure sector. When the AAP alleged that the Centre had tried to ‘stop’ the presentation of the budget, MHA retorted saying it only asked for some clarifications on why the budget was “more focused on advertisements than the infrastructure”.
