On 10th November 1885, German Engineer Gottlieb Daimler Unveiled The World's First Motorcycle. The “Daimler Reitwagen” is widely considered as the world’s first true motorcycle, made by Gottlieb Daimler with Wilhelm Maybach.Daimier is often also called the 'father of the motorcycle' for this invention. Even though three steam-powered two-wheelers preceded Reitwagen, it still remains the first gasoline internal combustion motorcycle and the forerunner of all vehicles, land, sea and air, that use its overwhelmingly popular engine type. The commercial company Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft was founded in 1890 and it sold its first automobile in 1892. Daimler was forced out of the company in 1893 due to conflict with stockholders but returned a year later. In 1926, after Daimler's death, Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft and Benz & Cie merged to form Daimler-Benz, It lives on today as the world's best-selling premier car company Mercedes-Benz.537094b9e9a5405fd27fc5937da094ae.jpegIn the picture: A replica of the Reitwagen at the Mercedes Benz museum in Stuttgart.
