Jaano Junction EPIC Show Concludes at the CRD Patna Book Fair with Resounding Success (Full Winners List Here)

This year, Patna Book Fair witnessed an exciting collaboration with Jaano Junction, as they jointly presented the Jaano Junction EPIC Show—a dynamic celebration of knowledge, creativity, and talent.

Patna (Bihar): The 40th edition of the CRD Patna Book Fair, held from December 6th to 17th, 2024, at the iconic Gandhi Maidan, marked another milestone in its rich legacy. This year, the event witnessed an exciting collaboration with Jaano Junction, as they jointly presented the Jaano Junction EPIC Show—a dynamic celebration of knowledge, creativity, and talent.

With its grand theme, ‘Tree, Water, Life: Climate Action Right Now,’ the Jaano Junction EPIC Show not only aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals but also inspired participants and audiences to actively reflect on pressing environmental issues.

An Unforgettable Lineup of Events

The Jaano Junction EPIC Show featured six thrilling competitions:

JJ EPIC Quiz: A test of knowledge covering a wide array of topics, including climate action. Held on 7th December, Kshitij Choudhary, CEO Jaano Junction, conducted the session as the Quizmaster.

JJ EPIC BizChamps: A business pitch contest sparking entrepreneurial creativity. The esteemed Jury were Mr. Nitin Tiwary, Co-founder at Medaaverse & TechAx Labs, and Mr. Alok Kumar, Co-founder at Coworking Studio Icomzy Technologies.

JJ EPIC Choir Battle: A stage for Bihar’s finest school choirs to captivate audiences. The esteemed Jury were popular playback/folk singer and O-Womaniya Gangs of Wasseypur Fame Ms. Rekha Jha, and Mr. Keshav, Singer-Songwriter.

JJ EPIC Kahanikar: A storytelling event that brought out the imaginative best of students. The esteemed Jury was Dr. Kumar Vimlendu Singh, celebrated literary figure. The topic for EPIC Kahanikar were "Nature Warriors" (in English) and "पर्यावरण के रक्षक" (in Hindi).

JJ EPIC Battle of Bands: A musical showdown to remember, featuring electrifying performances.

JJ EPIC Debate: A platform for students to voice bold opinions on critical issues. The topic for the Finals was "Climate justice is unattainable in current geo-political scenario." in which Mr. Siddhant Sarang, climate change and environmental activist became the Chairperson, along with the esteemed Jury, Mr. Uday Shankar Choudhary, senior lawyer at Patna High Court with over 30 years of experience, and Dr. Aditi Tyagi, Assistant Professor at Patna University. The topic for prelims was "Electronic vehicles are not as sustainable as they appear to be."

JJ EPIC Kalakar: A grand level painting competition which was judged by Ms. Soma Anand Jha, award-winning and celebrated contemporary artist. The topic/theme for painting competition was "Tree, Water, Life: Climate Action Right Now".

Additionally, Bas Bol Dal - EPIC Open Mic, Live Podcasts in Citizen Townhall provided inclusive spaces for public participation and creative expression, making the festival a truly engaging experience.

In Citizen Townhall, Jaano Junction conducted two Live Podcast sessions. The topic for first session was "Climate Action: Now or Never". The session was moderated by Apoorw, Executive Producer at Jaano Junction, aadn the speakers were Dr Atul Aditya Pandey, Director of UGC Malaviya Mission Training Centre Patna University, Dr. Manish Parashar, Asst. Professor at AKU, Mr. Shailesh, Cyclist and Environmentalist.

The topic for second session was "Content Creation Unlocked: How to grow big on social media and monetise". The session was moderated by Kshitij Choudhary, CEO Jaano Junction, and the speakers were Mr. Pawan Kumar, CEO & Founder of Artkala, and Ms. Anjali Singh, Radio Jockey at Mirchi and popular lifestyle & entertainment creator.

“The Patna Book Fair is more than an event; it’s a celebration of the intellect, creativity, and community spirit of Bihar,” said Ratneshwar Pathak, President of CRD. He expressed immense pride in this year’s edition, calling it a milestone in the fair’s journey.

Amit Jha, Convenor of Patna Book Fair, lauded the collaboration with Jaano Junction, highlighting how the energy and enthusiasm of the young team contributed to the event’s success. “This partnership has strengthened our ability to engage and inspire younger audiences,” he shared.

Kshitij Choudhary, CEO of Jaano Junction, reflected on the personal and professional significance of this collaboration. “The Patna Book Fair holds nostalgic value for every Patnaite. I’m thrilled that Jaano Junction has been able to infuse this tradition with fresh, youth-driven energy while staying true to our shared love for art, culture, and meaningful social change,” he remarked.

Over the course of the festival, the Jaano Junction EPIC Show witnessed participation from hundreds of students, who showcased their skills, passion, and creativity. The competitions served as a platform to inspire not just the participants but also the audience to think innovatively and act responsibly for the planet.

Prize distribution ceremony to be held on 17th December, 2024 at Main Stage, Patna Book Fair 2024, 3PM onwards.

Participation Certificates to all the participants is provided. Students/Guardians/School Coordinators can visit to Jaano Junction’s Stall no. K-15 to receive their respective certificates between 5:30PM to 8PM on 17th December.

The collaboration between Patna Book Fair and Jaano Junction added a vibrant new chapter to the fair’s 40-year-old legacy. The event resonated deeply with students, educators, and audiences, fostering a sense of pride in Bihar’s cultural and intellectual heritage while encouraging conversations about global challenges.

As the curtains close on this edition of the Patna Book Fair, one thing is clear: the Jaano Junction EPIC Show was not just an event—it was a movement that celebrated creativity, inspired innovation, and strengthened the resolve for a sustainable future.

The stage is now set for even greater milestones as Patna Book Fair continues to evolve as a beacon of art, literature, and culture.
