Walking in at No.5 with his side under pressure, Tilak anchored a dramatic turnaround against the Gujarat Titans. He remained unbeaten on 101 off just 45 balls, turning what looked like a struggling innings into a dominant display of strokeplay.

The innings began on a difficult note for Mumbai, as Kagiso Rabada dismantled the top order during the powerplay. Tilak himself started cautiously, managing just 17 runs off his first 20 deliveries as he looked to settle in.

However, once he found his rhythm, the momentum shifted dramatically. The cautious start gave way to an aggressive counterattack, with Tilak accelerating rapidly and taking control of the game, ultimately scripting one of the standout knocks of the season.
