Krunal Pandya-led Baroda team lit up the Emerald High School Ground in Indore by registering the highest-ever T20 total in cricket history during the Group B match of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Sikkim. The team posted 349 runs at the loss of 5 wickets with the help of Banu Pania's uneaten century and three blazing fifties from Abhimanyu Singh Rajput, Shivalik Sharma and Vishnu Solanki.

This is the third time that a team has breached the 300-run mark in T20s. Before this Zimbabwe and Nepal were the only other two teams to pull this off. In fact Zimbabwe's 344/4 against Gambia held the record for the highest team total in T20 before this storm from Baroda batters that blew away Sikkim bowlers.

The team smashed 37 sixes during their devastating performance and registered yet another historic record. They have now smashed the most sixes by a team in a single innings during a T20 match.; The previous record was held by Zimbabwe only with 27 sixes against Gambia.

Where Bhanu Pania's unbeaten 134 off 51 balls took centre stage it was also the fifties from Abhimanyu Singh Rajput, Shivalik Sharma and Vishnu Solanki which made this epic feat possible. All three of those half-century knocks came with a strike rate of above 300. Abhimanyu scored 53 off 17 balls, Shivalik played a knock off 55 from 17 balls as well and Solanki smashed 50 off just 16.

Sikkim now has an almost impossible task on its hands. Baroda on the other hand can easily top Group B by pulling off a massive win.
