Takshvi Vaghani, a six-year-old from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has achieved the title of “lowest limbo skating over 25 m”, said Guinness World Records (GWR). In a video shared by the record-keeper on Instagram, we can see Takshvi nailing the challenge without breaking a sweat. For those who don’t know, this particular sport requires the person to skate beneath a horizontal pole. Takshvi achieved the feet on March 10 last year. As per GWR’s official website, Takshvi “decided to attempt for personal achievement.” The video created a buzz after Guinness World Records posted it on April 10. “Lowest limbo skating over 25 m,16 cm (6.29 in) by Takshvi Vaghani,” the side note read.

Within a few hours of being shared, the video collected 1.5 million views and several comments. A user wrote, “Kinda records that should be beaten, just wow”. Another said, “Awesome and Amazing! Congratulations.” A user commented, “Impressive”. While another said, “She has potential,” and a user lauded her feat saying, “Wow, so proud of her”.

On the other hand, Manasvi Vishal of Pune had previously held the title of “lowest limbo skating over 25 m” Guinness World Records. Manasvi accomplished this feat by gliding for a distance of 25 metres while maintaining a height of only 16.5 centimetres above the ground.

At the age of three and a half, Manasvi Vishal developed an interest in limbo skating. She then took a year to be ready for her attempt to set a new Guinness World Records. Manasvi set her record on July 29, 2023, although Guinness World Records didn’t confirm it until October 2023 for several reasons, according to The Indian Express.

Furthermore, an 18-year-old Indian skater named Shrishti Dharmendra Sharma set a new world record in July 2023 when she completed the distance in 6.94 seconds, which is the “fastest time to limbo skate over 50 metres.” She broke her own mark, which she had set in 2021 with 7.38 seconds, with this.

In addition, the world record for “farthest distance limbo skating under bars” was set in May 2017 by Manipur native Tiluck Keisam, who skated up to 145 metres (475 feet 7 inches) under poles that were just 30 cm high.

In August 2016, six-year-old Om Swaroop Gowda from Bengaluru set a new record for the “Farthest distance limbo-skating under cars” by skating 65.283 metres under 36 different cars.
