Bollywood actor Salman Khan has once again received a death threat, almost exactly a year after multiple rounds were fired outside his Bandra residence. This time, the threat came via a message sent to the WhatsApp number of Mumbai's Transport Department in Worli, warning of killing the actor by entering his house and also threatening to blow up his car with a bomb.

Following the incident, a case has been registered against an unidentified person at the Worli Police Station. Authorities are currently investigating the source and authenticity of the threat. Security has also been increased outside the 59-year-old's residence.

The Bollywood actor, over the last few years, has received multiple threats directly and indirectly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The gang has reportedly been targeting Salman Khan over his alleged involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, as the animal holds religious significance for the Bishnoi community.

In 2024, Khan received a fresh threat from the Bishnoi gang demanding that he either visit a temple and publicly apologise for the alleged blackbuck killing or pay Rs 5 crore. On October 30, the actor was threatened again by an unknown individual who demanded a Rs 2 crore ransom.

Two unidentified individuals attempted to trespass into Khan's Panvel farmhouse using fake identification in 2024. In 2023, a threat email allegedly sent by gangster Goldy Brar was received, while in 2022, a letter threatening the actor was found on a bench near his residence.

Security around Khan has been tightened multiple times in the past in response to these threats.

Speaking about the threats at a recent press meet in Mumbai, Salman Khan said, "Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai ((God and Allah are watching over. My lifespan will be as long as fate allows. That's it)."

After the threats, Salman revealed that he now only travels between his home and film sets. "I am not worried when I am with the press, but when I am without the press, that cramps my style. Now it's all about Galaxy (home) to shoot and from shoot to Galaxy (home), nothing else," the 59-year-old actor said.
