The Rajasthan CID and other intelligence special teams from Jaipur detained the individual, Sakur Khan Mangaliya, from a government department office in Jaisalmer. Khan is a resident of Jaisalmer district, and is currently employed in the state’s employment office. Shakoor Khan was on duty in the district administration control room of the during Operation Sindoor.

Officials suspect Khan of being involved in suspicious activities. Intelligence agencies had been monitoring him for some time after receiving input about his alleged connections with a Pakistani Embassy official and possible links with the ISI.

"Based on inputs from higher headquarters about his involvement in suspicious activities, we have detained him for verification and questioning," said Sudhir Chaudhary, Superintendent of Police, confirming the detention.

Sakur Khan earlier worked as a personal assistant to Shale Mohammad, a former minister in the Congress government. Mohammad and Khan belong to the same village.

Sources said the intelligence team has found multiple unknown Pakistani numbers on Khan’s mobile phone. He has reportedly failed to explain the presence of these numbers. During questioning, Khan also admitted to visiting Pakistan 6–7 times in the past.

According to officials, no military-related videos or sensitive content have been found on his mobile phone so far. However, many posts on the device were found deleted. His financial records, including two bank accounts, are also being examined by intelligence agencies.

"There was surveillance on his movements for some time. His links with an officer in the Pakistan Embassy and the possibility of connections with a Pakistani intelligence agency prompted the intelligence team from Jaipur to take action," sources added.
