Dressed in a blue silk saree, actor Trisha Krishnan arrived at Chennai's Jawharlal Nehru Stadium to attend Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam chief C Joseph Vijay’s oath-taking ceremony on Sunday. As she left her residence in Chennai, Trisha said she was "looking forward" to witnessing the historic event.

Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), emerged as the single largest party in the recently concluded assembly elections in Tamil Nadu by securing 108 seats. It defeated two Dravidian giants, DMK and AIADMK, who have been ruling the state since the 60s.

At the ceremony, Trisha was seen in an icy blue silk saree with a gold embroidered blouse. She completed her look with malli poo (jasmine flowers) and a diamond jewellery set.

Earlier, Trisha visited Tirupati Temple around the time of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly election results, when early trends showed Vijay’s party making a strong start. The actor marked her 43rd birthday with an early morning visit to the temple. She had shared an Instagram video on Sunday night while travelling to Tirupati, and by Monday morning, visuals of her offering prayers had surfaced online.

After that visit, reactions appeared on X, where some users speculated about the timing of her prayers and linked them to the election results and Vijay’s party. Later in the day, Trisha also visited Vijay’s residence in Chennai. Arriving in a white car, she acknowledged photographers gathered outside with a brief smile.

During polling on April 23, Trisha had also shared an Instagram post after voting. That post drew attention, with fans interpreting it as a subtle show of support for Vijay, her long-time friend and frequent co-star. In March, Vijay and Trisha were also seen together at a wedding reception in Chennai, with videos from the event going viral on social media.
