3 dead in explosion while making crude bomb in Bengal's Murshidabad

The three people were busy binding a crude bomb on Sunday night at the residence of one Mamoon Molla in Khoertala, just when the bomb went off, killing the men on the spot.

Three people died while making a crude bomb in Khoertala area of West Bengal's Murshidabad district on Sunday night, police said.

According to police, the three people were busy binding a crude bomb on Sunday night at the residence of one of the dead, Mamoon Molla, in Khoertala, just when the bomb went off.

As a result, the three men died on the spot. The dead have been identified as Mamoon Molla, Sakirul Sarkar, residents of Khoertala, and Mustakin SK, resident of the Maharab colony of Sagarpara.

After the incident, panic gripped the people in the area. Police personnel were deployed in large numbers in the area to calm the situation and see that no untoward incident takes place.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case and have launched an investigation into the matter.
