In a shocking act of recklessness, a Lithuanian couple defied warnings and attempted to scale Mount Rysy, the highest peak in Poland, with their nine-month-old baby in extremely dangerous weather conditions. A mountain guide was forced to rescue the child after the couple, unequipped for the climb, found themselves unable to descend.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many questioning the parents’ recklessness in putting their baby at risk.

Conditions on Mount Rysy were treacherous, yet the couple ignored repeated warnings from guides and rescuers.

With no safety equipment, their attempt at climbing the frozen peak quickly turned dangerous.

When the father realised he couldn’t make it down, he even tried to borrow crampons from a mountain guide, who later carried their baby to safety.

The family was safe after the incident, which was captured on video and has since gone viral, sparking outrage and angry responses on social media.

“It's hard to understand why some parents would take such a risky decision with their child's safety at stake. There are countless ways to enjoy nature without putting a baby in harm's way,” a social media user posted on X.

Another commented saying: “It's unbelievable how they threatened the life of a babe. I hope the police will deal with it.”

"Bringing a nine-month-old up a dangerous mountain without gear is beyond reckless lucky the guide saved the baby," another person said.
