A family vacation in Himachal Pradesh's Manali turned into a nightmare for a Nagpur-based family after their 10-year-old daughter was seriously injured in a ziplining accident.

Trisha Bijwe, daughter of Nagpur residents Prafulla Bijwe and his wife, fell nearly 30 feet into a gorge on June 8 after the zipline cable she was strapped to suddenly snapped mid-air.

The incident occurred at a tourist zipline facility in Manali, where the family was holidaying during the summer break.

Trisha suffered multiple fractures in her leg due to the fall. According to the family, there were no adequate safety measures at the site and they did not receive any immediate assistance after the accident.

Initially, Trisha was given medical attention in Manali and later shifted to a hospital in Chandigarh. She is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Nagpur. The condition of the child remains critical, the family said.

The Bijwe family has shared a video of the incident, which showed the moment the harness gave way. They have demanded accountability from the zipline operators and called for better safety enforcement at adventure tourism sites.
