Union Minister and BJP leader Raksha Khadse on Sunday filed a complaint against a few boys, alleging they harassed her minor daughter and other girls during the Sant Muktai Yatra in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon.

“Sant Muktai Yatra takes place in the area every year on the occasion of Mahashivratri. Two days ago, my daughter went for the yatra. Some youths harassed her. I went to the police station to lodge a complaint against them,” Raksha Khadse told reporters this morning after filing a complaint against the accused.

During the incident, the accused allegedly grabbed the collar of the minister’s security personnel and threatened him.

According to a source, some of them have criminal backgrounds and are associated with Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) MLA Chandrakant Patil.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has reacted to the incident, saying that the accused will not be spared.

"There are some officials of a party who have done such a thing. It is a cheap act; the police have registered a case, and some have been arrested. This kind of harassment is wrong; they cannot be forgiven, and strict action will be taken against them," he said.

According to a police official handling the case, one of the accused has been arrested and teams have been formed to arrest the others.

"On February 28, there was a yatra in Muktainagar taluka's Kothali village. Muktainagar City's Aniket Ghui and 6 of his friends were participating in the yatra. In the same yatra, Aniket Ghui and his friends stalked and molested three-four girls. So, we have registered a case of stalking, molestation and also invoked sections of POCSO Act as well as IT Act. One accused has been arrested and three teams have been sent to arrest the remaining accused," the police official said.
