Triple murder in Delhi: Man walks into police station, confesses to killing family

The 25-year-old man confessed to the police that he had killed his mother, and his two siblings, aged 24 and 14.

A 25-year-old man allegedly killed his mother, sister and minor brother before walking into a police station and surrendering. The triple murder took place in Delhi's Laxmi Nagar area on Monday.

According to police, the accused, identified as Yashveer Singh, reached the Laxmi Nagar Police Station at around 5 pm and told cops that he had murdered his family members due to financial problems, as per a report by news agency PTI.

Yashveer Singh told police that the victims were his mother Kavita (46), sister Meghana (24) and brother Mukul (14).

“On receiving the information, police teams immediately rushed to the address mentioned by the man. Upon verification, the bodies of the woman and her two children were found lying inside the house,” a police official was quoted as saying by PTI.

Further details in the case are awaited as the investigation continues.
