A South Korean navy patrol plane, with four people on board, crashed in the southern city of Pohang, according to reports. Eyewitnesses reported spotting a large plume of smoke rising from the mountains at the crash site.

The South Korean navy has confirmed that it was a P-3 aircraft that crashed on Thursday afternoon. The crash took place at 1:50 pm local time, according to South Korean news agency Yonhap.
