A man has been arrested following an incident at the Cincinnati, Ohio, home of US Vice President JD Vance, in which a window was clearly broken, according to footage from WLWT 5.

Vance was not at home during the incident, and no injuries have been reported. Authorities have yet to release a motive or further details about the suspect.

Vance is reported to have been at his golf club in West Palm Beach after a meeting with US President Donald Trump, as the US planned strikes on Venezuela. He later returned to his Cincinnati home after monitoring the situation.

One person is in custody, and authorities have launched an urgent investigation, a federal law enforcement source told CNN. Preliminary reports suggest the suspect did not enter the residence, and the Vance family was not home at the time.

Photos from local news outlets showed damage to the windows, but it is unclear what exactly occurred.

Authorities are investigating whether the incident was a targeted act against Vance or his family. The US Secret Service has not yet issued a statement.
