'PM Modi guarantees confirmed ticket for all in next 5 years': Railway Minister

Union Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw has asserted that within the next five years, all railway passengers will have confirmed tickets, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to expanding railway capacity.

In the next five years, all railway passengers can get a confirmed ticket, Union Railways and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Tuesday. The statement came while the minister interacted with IANS.

In the next five years, Railways, which are a strong link in the growth of the country's economy, "will be further strengthened and the facilities, especially for the passengers, will be expanded at a much faster pace," he added.

"Only 32,000 coaches were made from 2004-2014."
