PM Implements ‘Kisan Drone Yatra’, Initiative to Lend Full Support to StartUps

In an initative to lend full support to the farmers, PM Narendra Modi on Friday flagged off 100 Kisan drones in different cities and towns of India to spray pesticides in farms across IndiaThe campaign was launched for several states including poll-bound Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Goa.While assuring full support to the startups, PM Modi said, “I am confident that this beginning will not only prove to be a milestone in the development of the drone sector but also will also open the sky to unlimited possibilities.”“I have been told that Garuda Aerospace has set a target of manufacturing 1 lakh Made in India drones in the next 2 years. This will generate fresh employment and new opportunities for the youth,” PM Modi further added.During budget speech 2022-23, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a stimulus for the farm sector. She said the government will promote Kisan Drones, organic farming, and create public-private partnerships for the delivery of tech services to the agriculture sector during the financial year 2022-23, and this is how the government will lend their full support to the start ups associated in providing all such services.
