Addressing the nation, PM Modi said, “I salute our armed forces. Our brave soldiers displayed valor during Operation Sindoor and achieved success.”
He dedicated Operation Sindoor to all mothers, sisters and daughters.
PM Modi said, “All terrorist organisations would have come to know that what the result is of whipping sindoor (vermilion) from our daughters and mothers’ heads.”
PM Modi said, “Our forces did precise attack on terror camps. Terrorists could not think that India could do such a strike which such a devastation. When country is united , we have to take such strict actions.”
PM Modi said, “When India’s missiles and drones struck inside Pakistan, it wasn’t just the terrorist organizations that were hit — even their morale was shattered.”
Pm Modi said that India killed more than 100 terrorists during Operation Sindoor. He added that Pakistan is in deep shock.
“Pakistan was rattled. Instead of standing with India, Pakistan launched an attack against it. Pakistan targeted gurdwaras, schools, civilians’ homes, and military positions. Pakistan exposed itself completely. Pakistan had prepared to strike at the border… but India struck directly at the heart of Pakistan,” he said.
PM Modi said, “We have just postponed our strikes against Pakistan depending on the act of Pakistan it takes in the future.”
PM Modi said, “When there was an attack against India, we gave a fitting and crushing response. If there is any further terrorist attack on India, we will respond with a crushing retaliation. We will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail. We will take action on our terms.”
PM Modi said, “The Pakistan Army and government are nurturing terrorism, which will one day destroy them from within. If Pakistan wants to survive, they will have to dismantle the terror infrastructure.”
“Terror and talks cannot go together,” he said.

Reacting to PM Modi’s address, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on X in Hindi, “In his address to the nation today, Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi has put India’s policy against terrorism before the whole world with great clarity and firmness. His address is not only an expression of India’s sentiment, but it is also a presentation of our country’s military, diplomatic and moral strength..”
“The Prime Minister has also made it clear that if there will be any talks with Pakistan in the future, then the talks will be only on terrorism and POK. He has also openly praised the valour and courage of the Indian forces during #OperationSindoor . The whole country is proud of the Indian forces. Union Home Minister Amit Shah took to X and said, “PM Shri @narendramodi Ji today demarcated the boundary for Bharat’s enemies through the example of #OperationSindoor, in which our armed forces razed the very edifice of terrorism in Pakistan’s backyard.”
“Our armed forces have made Pakistan shudder with their might and set a new normal of zero tolerance for terrorism. Modi Ji has reiterated our resolve that Bharat will strike back the very moment our enemies dare to make a mistake,” he added.
A complete blackout was enforced in Samba, Vaishno Devi and Yatra Track on Monday night.
Deputy Commissioner of Amritsar on Monday informed about enforcing a blackout, and urged people to stay calm.
“You will hear a siren. We are on alert and initiating the blackout. Please switch off your lights and move away from your windows. Stay calm, we will inform when ready to restore the power supply. Don’t panic at all. This is by way of abundant caution,” he wrote on X.
Amritsar airport civil operations have been suspended temporarily.

During his address at the Adampur Air Base, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a strong message to Pakistan following Operation Sindoor. “There will be only one consequence for spilling the blood of innocent people in India — vinaash aur mahavinaash,” he stated.
Speaking at the Adampur Air Base, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed India’s uncompromising stance on terrorism. “India’s ‘Laxman Rekha’ against terrorism is crystal clear now. If another terror attack occurs now, India will give a reply – a solid reply. We saw this during surgical strike, during air strike. Now, Operation Sindoor is India’s new normal,” PM stated.
The Indian government on Tuesday declared a Pakistani official at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi persona non grata for activities “not in keeping with their official status." The individual, according to sources, has been identified as a staffer from Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and has been directed to leave India within 24 hours. A demarche was issued to the Charge d’Affaires of the Pakistan High Commission in this regard, a press release by the External Affairs Ministry said.
