Businesswoman Isha Ambani made a striking appearance at the Met Gala 2026, turning heads with a look that seamlessly blended Indian tradition with contemporary couture.

Dressed in a custom creation by designer Gaurav Gupta, Isha wore a gold-woven saree that reflected the evening’s theme, “Fashion is Art.” The ensemble featured intricate, hand-painted motifs inspired by traditional Indian art forms such as Pichwai, along with a sculptural cape—one of Gupta’s signature design elements.

The saree itself was crafted using pure gold threads by skilled artisans, highlighting India’s rich textile heritage and craftsmanship. Complementing the outfit was a heavily embellished blouse adorned with heirloom jewellery, including pieces from her mother’s collection, adding both emotional and historical depth to the look.

One of the most talked-about elements of her appearance was an unusual accessory—a mango. However, it wasn’t a real fruit. Instead, it was a carefully crafted sculpture by renowned Indian artist Subodh Gupta, symbolising the fusion of art and fashion.

The entire ensemble reportedly took over 1,200 hours and the effort of dozens of artisans to complete, making it not just a fashion statement but a celebration of Indian artistry on a global platform.
