A former Radio Jockey and popular Instagram influencer, Simran Singh, allegedly died by suicide at her residence in Gurugram, the police said on Thursday.
The woman, who was originally from Jammu and had over 6 lakh followers on Instagram, died by suicide on Wednesday, according to officials.
The incident was reported to the police by a friend who was staying with her at the Gurugram Sector 47 apartment.
The door of the house was locked from the inside, and no suicide note has been found, officials added. Simran's body was handed over to her family after the post-mortem.
Her last Instagram post was on December 13, featuring a video of herself, with the caption, "Just a girl with endless giggles and her gown, taking over the beach".
The Gurugram Police has filed a suicide case, and a probe has been launched, officials said.
Simran was a popular RJ and was currently freelancing.
