An IndiGo flight travelling from Lucknow to Dammam made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad Airport on Thursday evening after a tissue paper carrying the word 'BOMB' was found on board.

The flight landed at Ahmedabad Airport at around 5:55 pm, with 133 people, including crew members, on board. All passengers were safely disembarked following the emergency landing.

According to police, multiple agencies, including airport security personnel, the fire team and the bomb squad, are investigating the incident. The specific reason behind the emergency landing has not yet been ascertained.

HANDWRITING SAMPLES COLLECTED

As part of the investigation, handwriting samples are being collected from passengers. They have reportedly been asked to write on tissue paper so that the writing can be compared with the note carrying the bomb message.

The flight was operating on the Lucknow-Dammam route when the message was discovered, prompting the emergency landing in Ahmedabad.

This is the second emergency landing involving a flight at Ahmedabad Airport in 10 days.

Previously, an Air India Express flight had made an emergency landing in Ahmedabad in a case where the name of a crew member had surfaced during the investigation.
